Gestational diabetes mellitus is glucose intolerance diagnosed during pregnancy. It is usually temporary but may affect mother and baby’s health. Gestational diabetes is a form of diabetes that develops during pregnancy. It is different from having known diabetes before pregnancy and then getting pregnant.
